Business Tax
Applications for a City of Hendersonville
business license may be made Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM at City Hall in Hendersonville.
The business license application may be downloaded here.
The business license application fee is $15.00.
Prior to the issuance of the business license, the Planning
Department must approve the application.
The business may be required to obtain a Use and Occupancy Permit. The Planning Department may be contacted at

The business must also apply for a Sumner
County business license. The County business license application may
be downloaded from the Sumner County
website here.
The business license must be renewed every year and a tax is
paid based on the gross receipts earned during the tax period.
All tax due on businesses with license expiration dates
ending 12/31/09 and after will
be filed directly with and payment made to the State of Tennessee Department of
Revenue. (Businesses with delinquent tax
prior to 12/31/09 should
remit the delinquent tax to the City of Hendersonville.)
