Volunteering Coaches Information
Volunteer coaches are the backbone of all City of Hendersonville's youth athletic leagues. Without the dedication, support, and commitment of volunteers our youth sports programs would not be possible. Please note that our department is focused on the development and safety of our children, and requires all volunteer coaches to be certified by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) and successfully pass a background check.
To volunteer as a head coach for a specific sport, please contact the Hendersonville Parks Department for an application at 615-828-3898 or email the Parks Department.
Background Checks
All head and assistant coaches must submit a background check annually for all leagues that play within the Hendersonville parks system.
Coaching Certification
Note: If you've previously completed the training but your membership has expired, you'll need to contact NYSCA directly to renew.
