The Hendersonville Planning Department is responsible for long-range planning, professional development review, zoning administration and enforcement, historic preservation, and community revitalization within the City of Hendersonville.
Planning Department Commercial Sign Replacement Grant Program
This new sign grant program will provide financial assistance to existing businesses in the Westlake Plan area to replace outdated permanent nonconforming signs with conforming signs pursuant to chapter 13 of the Hendersonville Zoning Ordinance.
The Planning Commission consists of nine members- appointed by the Mayor- who help plan for growth and development in Hendersonville. Assisted by Staff, they advise the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on a broad array of issues related to land use, transportation, and City planning.
